Memorial Day Parade

Yesterday we went to Rome for the Memorial Day parade. It was alright but it wasn't near as long as I thought it would be. Parades aren't what they used to be...I guess I'm showing my age. :)

It started with a flyover from the Tiger's.

They represented every war. This was the WW2....isn't that little sailor the cutest thing!!!!

After the parade they were showing a WW2 film at the Desoto theater. It was VERY good. They had some technical difficulties but it was worth the wait!! It was interviews of local veterans telling their stories.

Tomorrow we will be heading to Mountain City, GA for a field trip with the Ware's and their homeschool group (Canton). We are all looking forward to it. I will post pictures as soon as I can get to it. We will probably be in late.
